Wohlfahrt Haus Dinner Theatre
The following is the schedule D&S Travel has for the dinner theater in 2023. Sign up and have payments made by January 15, 2023 and the price for each one day show is $124.00 per person. Beginning January 16, 2023 the price is $134.00 per person, Each show is a Thursday Matinee and includes motor coach transportation, lunch and the show. Driver tips are also included in the price.
April 20 – Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat
Told entirely through song with the help of a main character Narrator, this musical follows preferred son, Joseph. After being sold into slavery by his brothers, he ingratiated himself with Egyptain noble Potiphar, but ends up in jail after refusing the amorous advances of Potiphar’s wife. While imprisoned, Joseph discovers his ability to interpret dreams, as he soon finds himself in front of the mighty but troubled, Elvis-inspired, Pharaoh. Joseph’s solution to Egypt’s famine elevates him to Pharaoh’s right-hand man and reunites him with his family.
June 1 – Back to the 50’s
Turn back the clock to the 1950’s, follow a group of friends as they go back in time to their high school days relieved through song and dance!
Featuring favorites of the time such as “A Teenager in Love ”, “Come Go With Me”, “Blue Suede Shoes”, and more. This show has something for everyone.
July 13 – Sanders Family Christmas
It’s December 24, 1941, and America is going to war, so is Dennis Sanders, of the Sanders Family Singers. Join Pastor Mervin Oglethorpe and the rest of the Sanders family as they send Dennis off with hilarious and touching stories and twenty-five Southern Gospel Christmas favorites.
August 17 – Million Dollar Quartet
The Tony Award nominated musical Million Dollar Quartet is set on December 4th, 1956, when an extraordinary twist of fate brought Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, and Elvis Pressley together at Sun Records in Memphis for what would be one of the greatest jam sessions ever. Million Dollar Quartet brings that legendary December night to life with an irresistible tale of broken promises, secrets, betrayal, and celebrations that is both poignant and funny. October 5 – Fiddler On the Roof
Set in the village of Anatevka, the story centers on Tevye, a poor milkman, and his five daughters. With the help of a colorful and tight-knit Jewish community Tevye tries to protect his daughters and instill them with traditional values in the face of changing social mores and the growing
anti-Semitism of Czarist Russia. Rich in historical and ethical detail, Fiddler on the Roof’s universal theme of tradition cuts across barriers of race, class, nationality, and religion, leaving audiences crying tears of laughter, joy, and sadness. November 30 – A Christmas Carol
Charles Dickens’ beloved characters come to life with a Wohlfahrt Haus twist in A Christmas Carol. Scrooge, a wealthy miser, goes on a journey Christmas Eve night with four ghosts to examine how his choices and actions in the past and present will affect his future, as well as the true meaning of Christmas.
**Please note that when you sign up for one of these tours and you do not make your payment at the time of sign up, you will have a total of 21 days to get your payment into the office at D&S Travel. After 21 days, if we have not received your payment, your name will be removed from the reservation form. All one day tours require full payment at sign up unless otherwise noted.
