Washington DC – The Extension Tour
Have you been to our Nation’s Capital and seen all the memorials and monuments, but never had time to see all the other wonderful attractions in DC? Well this is the tour you must take.
Day One: October 4, 2018 – This morning we have a 7:00am departure headed to our Nation’s Capital. On arrival we check into our hotel for a three-night stay. Tonight dinner is included on the Roof of Kennedy Center. Tonight we attend a performance of Shear Madness, A comedy that will have you in stitches. Playing for 30 years at Kennedy Center. This is Washington’s hilarious Who Dun it Comedy. We return back to the hotel after the show.
Day Two: October 5, 2018 – After breakfast at the hotel (included), we arrive for a tour of the Pentagon. This five sided structure covers 29 acres and houses Branches of the Department of Defense. We will also visit the Pentagon Memorial. Our next stop is the Supreme Court, the country’s highest judicial body holds its sessions at this imposing white marble office, anchored by lofty Corinthian columns. Our next stop is the National Postal Museum. Our last stop, we head for the International Spy Museum. It houses devices related to the history and practice of espionage and so much more. Dinner is included tonight plus we visit the US Air Force Memorial. We will then return to the hotel.
Day Three: October 6, 2018 – After breakfast at the hotel (included), our first stop is a tour of the White House (if available) and we also visit the White House Visitor Center. Next we stop in the National Archives Museum where you will see the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights. This afternoon we visit Newseum where visitors are taken behind the scenes to illustrate and how news is made. This museum contains seven levels and 15 galleries. A great farewell dinner is included tonight.
Day Four: October 7, 2018 – After breakfast at the hotel that is included, we will check out of our DC hotel and board the coach for home but first we must visit the New Bible Museum. This is a 430,000 square foot and an eight story museum that will invite all people to engage with the Bible via a scholarly. It will also be an engaging presentation of the book that has shaped modern culture like no other. After our visit here we board our coach and head for home.
