Tennessee Adventure Governor Mike Huckabee Television Show

Day One:

This morning we head to Tennessee by the way of 1-40 through North Carolina and into Tennessee. We check into our hotel for a three-night stay and meet our tour guide that will be with us while we are in Tennessee. Tonight, dinner is included at Demos’ Family Restaurant. Enjoy a delicious meal in a family-owned local restaurant that features exceptional service, and a variety of heritage dishes all handmade and of course you can’t wait to taste their famous cheese rolls! After dinner we return to the hotel.

 

Day Two:

Breakfast is included at the hotel and our first stop this morning is at a Classic Car Collection Museum. WOW you will be blown away. Our next adventure is the Country Stars Driving Tour. This driving tour highlights famous artists that have called Sumner County home: Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison, Marty Stuart, Conway Twitty, and more. Our next stop is at the historic Gallatin Square where you will have lunch on your own. This afternoon we visit the historic Palace Theater, the oldest original silent movie theater still in operation in Tennessee. The movie The Best of Johnny Cash. Enjoy the best songs and duets of Johnny Cash’s years as a late-night talk show host at the Ryman in Nashville inside the historic Palace Theater. Popcorn and soda will be served. Next, we arrive at Grandpa’s Opry. Situated in a small-town music store, Grandpa’s Opry is a delight for all who stop in! Live country music fills the air as local talent takes the down­ home stage of Grandpa’s and the audience is captivated. After the show we return to the hotel for some down time, and we are off to the Comer House for an

included BBQ dinner with all the trimming. This afternoon we take our seats for the live taping of the Huckabee show. You will be a member of the studio audience during Gov. Mike Huckabee’s weekly show, filled with guest, entertainment, and news! You will be a part of a Huckabee live studio taping and an unforgettable TV experience. We return to the hotel for the night.

 

Day Three:

Breakfast at the hotel (included) and we are off to visit the Reese Brothers Mule Farm. This farm dates back to the 1920’s and provides mules for many farms, events and even the Grand Canyon! Get up close and personal with the mules in their barn stalls and hear the history of the farm from the owners.

Our lunch stop today is at 5 Chefs/Occasions in Portland, Tennessee. This place has great eateries and wonderful gift shops. Our next stop is Days Gone by Museum. Take a stroll through yesteryear in the Southeast’s most extensive collection of antique tractors, cars, trucks, steam engines, and collectibles! You will love snapping your photo in front of the 1943 Douglas DC-3 World War II plane on the front lawn. We now depart for Cold Springs School. Constructed in 1857 as a one-room school but was converted to a military hospital during the Civil War. The school was also later used as a church, farm building, private residence and now a museum. Next, we visit Harbin Hollow a wonderful shop full of fresh items and local made can goods. We now arrive at Sumner Crest Winery for more great shopping in some great gift shops and if you choose you may take part in some wine tasting. To end our tour, we end up at the Red Barn at Crafton Farms. We will have a farm to table dinner with full entertainment including Bluegrass Bands and Square Dancers. What a way to end a wonderful tour.

 

Day Four:

Breakfast at the hotel (included) and we must board our motor coach and head for home. We arrive home early evening. What a trip we have had.
