This morning we head to Andy Griffith’s hometown, Mt. Airy, N.C. the inspiration for “MAYBERRY.” On arrival we pick up our local tour guide for a tour of this fun town. Our tour includes Floyd’s Barber Shop, Andy’s Boyhood Home, The World’s largest open faced granite quarry and we will see replicas of Wally’s Service Station, the Mayberry jail and courthouse.

We will also see the Andy and Opie statue and visit the Andy Griffith Museum that is full of a collection from the Andy Griffith Show. Lunch is included at Snappy’s and you will have time to shop in this great little downtown.
